He figured prominently in three of the four major British Antarctic Expeditions including Discovery (1901-04), Terra Nova (1910-13) and Endurance (1914-16). Fathom Expeditions and the American Birding Association have a relationship that goes back to 2002. After doing a series of presentations to the Michigan Audubon Society, Fathom completed the American Birding Association Standards Application for birding and guiding. This lengthy document was done successfully and puts forth Fathom's depth in experience with remote world birding and stewardship commitments. It also catalogues 15 years of photographic successes with rare species identification and population research. Fathom Expeditions raises money and contributes donations to the Roger Tory Peterson Foundation and Headquarters in Michigan.
