"Images of South Georgia Island still dance in my head.

On one day, 68 Fathom Expeditioners are hiking up following Shackleton's Route across the island then playing with killer whales in the bay and wandering albatross in the evening. The next day, we are surrounded by an endless horizon filled with penguins, elephant seals, fur seals, reindeer and seabirds. We all felt a sense of honour visiting these amazing "wild" places yet the history proved overwhelming also...

The Antarctic explorers came alive as we ventured to famous coves and anchorages from the Golden Age of Exploration. Exploration ships including Cook's "Resolution" to Scott's "Discovery", Shackleton's "Endurance" and Nordenkjold's "Antarctic" were all visitors here on their discovery expeditions to Antarctica."
