"Images of Spitsbergen and Svalbard are fresh in my mind after another successful high Arctic season.

Once again, we had curious polar bears beside our small ship and Zodiacs. The walrus (or tooth walkers) never ceased to amaze us and the history of Arctic explorers came alive as we ventured to the northernmost islands and fjords in Europe. Our expedition achieved numerous firsts with our guests while enjoying thrilling wildlife, ice and scenery in the pack ice and on remote shores."

During the height of the Arctic summer, you will have the opportunity to experience a part of the world – and enjoy a means of travel – that few people will ever know first-hand. Observe our ship’s nimble ice maneuvers from the bridge. Photograph the breathtaking icescapes from the decks. Watch for polar bears, whales, walrus, seals, and other wildlife from shore or the up-close vantage point of Zodiac boats. Walk and hike Spitsbergen's peaks and explore scientific stations and historic sites. Immerse yourself in the grand history of polar exploration and retrace the footsteps of acclaimed Arctic explorers Amundson and Nansen.

Onboard the ship, our hotel staff tend to your every comfort while our expedition team coordinates shore landings, lectures and a wide range of activities in the Arctic wilderness. Our small ship is able to venture where others cannot making this journey one of exploration as well as stunning scenery, history and wildlife.
