Photography Programs
Professional photographers accompany every Fathom Expeditions voyage. Several photography seminars will be given during this year’s Antarctic journey. These will focus on how to choose the correct exposure when shooting ice, how to capture sharp images of moving Antarctic wildlife, how to saturate Antarctic colors into your pictures, and finally, how to protect and maintain your equipment from the Antarctic environment.
This series of seminars provides the amateur and professional with the necessary fundamentals for capturing the beauty of the last continent. All seminars are hosted by highly experienced Antarctic photographers and guides.
Shackleton Programs
Sir Ernest Shackleton's Endurance Expedition of 1914 is a true epic of the Antarctic Region. Fathom Expeditions' Shackleton Program brings this and many other stories of exploration to life through lectures, slide shows, Zodiac landings and interactive experience. On the ship, Antarctic historians will detail the finer points of Polar exploration while on-shore, our expedition team will showcase each historically significant landing site. The result is a brilliant educational experience while walking in the footsteps of the great explorers.
