Whale Watching Tours for Whale observers
"A Sea of Blows" is how early explorers described Penins- -ula waters. Today, Antarctica abounds with Humpback, Minke, Killer and Fin whales as they feed in the prolific Southern Ocean. Curious Humpbacks will often spy-hop next to the Zodiacs boats as they investigate and slap their flukes. Watching these 30-ton behemoths glide underwater is truly an unforgettable and stunning experience. Our onboard marine mammal experts will provide insight during onboard seminars and research projects. They will also guide/interpret (along with the rest of the team) while cruising in the whale-watching Zodiacs and spotting wildlife from the ship's bridge. Our shore excursions will visit the dilapidated remnants of abandoned whaling stations where hulking machinery and rusting tanks can be explored and help us understand the past.
